What’s up friends? It’s the last week of Black History Month, so what would be more fitting than to shoutout some of the amazing black-owned businesses right here in YYC!

There are so many amazing businesses that are run by Black Calgarians and this blog post only covers a few. However, you can find an entire list here!

While looking through this list, I realized that I know about some of these businesses but I’ve never supported them through purchasing. I know that I can do better at supporting the people in my community, especially during a pandemic, so I’m going to try and support one Black-owned business each month! If you know me, you know that one of my favourite things to do is go to a coffee shop. I’m all about grabbing a coffee while I do work, chat, and catch-up with friends or just take in the atmosphere of the coffee shop. Of course, I love Calgary’s coffee shop scene, but when I travel, my favourite thing to do is check out the coffee scene there. San Diego was no different.
